Have you ever read a blog and thought, "I could really be friends with this this person"? Well, that's how you'll feel after reading a little more about Mandi Nix, the owner of Nixy. Her answers are short, sweet, and a bit funny. You'll have to read more to see what I mean.
How does the city you live in influence your work?
The diversity of the different cultures and neighborhoods definitely serves as an inspiration for me. Jacksonville has huge hometown pride, as a whole as well as in the different parts of town. I’m trying to capture that in my neighborhood crests.
How did you come up with your business name?
My business name is my last name. Honestly, it’s a place holder until I can come up with something better.
Your no-cassion cards a great. Which one is your favorite and why?
The no-occasion cards are very close to my heart. Especially the Wendy’s frosty card, which is autobiographical.
What do you love most about Spring?
I love being able to get back out in the garden. Having my morning coffee with the bees and butterflies is the best.
Is there anything you would like the public to know about you?
I love custom projects— whether it be a neighborhood, a family, or some other random inside joke — I appreciate getting to create something really personal for people. Right now I’m making mini mother shrines for Mother’s Day. Super excited about that.
